Policies

To ensure we follow best practice and meet our legal requirements in a range of key areas, the Hampshire SCITT Partnership abides by a number of rules, regulations and guidelines (both internal and external).

A selection of our internal policies can be viewed on the ‘Downloads’ panel on this page.  Additional documents are available exclusively for our trainees via our secure portal.

If you are unable to find the information you need online you can request information from us under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, subject to certain exemptions.

All our trainees adhere to the policies of the Hampshire SCITT Partnership and our partner schools.

In addition to our internal policies and procedures, the Hampshire SCITT Partnership is also a member of the Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education’s (OIA) independent scheme to review student complaints.  If you are unhappy with the outcome of any complaint or appeal, you may be able to ask the OIA to review your case. You can find more information about making a complaint to the OIA, what it can and can not look at and what it can do to put things right here: https://www.oiahe.org.uk/students.

You normally need to have completed the Hampshire SCITT Partnership’s internal process before you complain to the OIA.  When there are no further steps you can take internally the Hampshire SCITT Partnership will send you a letter called a “Completion of Procedures Letter”.  If your complaint or appeal is not upheld, the Hampshire SCITT Partnership will issue you with a Completion of Procedures Letter automatically. If your complaint or appeal is upheld or partly upheld you can ask for a Completion of Procedures Letter if you want one. You can find more information about Completion of Procedures Letters and when you should expect to receive one here: https://www.oiahe.org.uk/providers/completion-of-procedures-letters.
